The Fighting Chance uses boxing training to improve people’s lives. We deliver programmes across London that improve health and wellbeing and get people back into work or training. We work with Armed Forces Veterans. We work in partnership supporting people with mental health problems, supporting those with experience of the criminal justice system or with substance misuse issues.

We deliver practical and personalised support tailored to individual needs. We don’t do generic work – we focus on changing the things that are holding people back. Improving health and wellbeing is the first crucial step.

Health and Wellbeing

We deliver health & wellbeing programmes for people experiencing a wide range of mental and physical health issues. We use boxing training to engage and motivate. Structured group activity has a positive impact on stress, self-esteem, and improves symptoms of depression and anxiety.

Additional support: Advocacy, mentoring, socialisation, employability.

Armed Forces

We have extensive experience of supporting Armed Forces Veterans. Our programmes include partnership projects supporting Veterans with complex mental health problems like PTSD; programmes for limbless and Wounded, Injured & Sick Veterans; programmes aimed at Women and Families.

Employability

Designed for people experiencing barriers to employment. Focussing on advancing health & wellbeing and delivering intermediate employability outcomes. Getting participants ready for work, prepared for training, willing to engage with employers and recruitment providers.
